At Fox River Associates, we work with leading manufacturers to develop new and better performing release liners for all different applications and industries. One industry that we are especially proud to work on release liners for is the medical field. Our release liners for medical market applications have to perform well for every configuration and on every self-adhesive product. Our goal is to supply release liners for medical markets that always have safe and reliable release action while keeping the self-adhesive ready for adhesion with a strong bond.
Band-Aid applications with medicines or skin approved adhesives require either paper release liners or filmic release liners. Fox River Associates’ release liners for medical markets are commonly used in wound dressings for operation recovery. Our release liners for medical markets are also used for burn recovery.
One Electrode release liner application uses hydro colloidal gels or conductive gel using LDPE filmic siliconized release liners as "cover" stock. Also a PET or white poly paper release liner is often used as a proper material to die cut into when manufacturing various types of electrodes. Finally, thick, formable APET is the type of release liner used for the manufacturing of electrodes having a "formed cup" to contain "dots" of hydrogel. A few great examples of APET release liner usage are on grounding pad electrodes as well as nerve/muscle stimulation electrodes.
Fox River Associates encourages "starting" the development with FRA release liners so FDA and DMF qualifications can be covered with product production and approval in it's initial phase so that all release liners are approved in advance of product.
