Fox River Associates develops electronics release liners that are non-silicone release agents due to the undesirable effect silicone can have on electronics. When release liners are produced, the electronics release liner prevents the material from sticking together until the electronics component is installed.
Since there shouldn't be any chemical reactions with the electronics, a metal catalyzed release coating is no longer an option. Our electronics release liners utilize no catalysts and will remain mechanically strong while maintaining a smooth finished surface for less friction.
Electronics release liners have several configurations including the PET 1 and 2 sided release liners. The electronics release liners are the same strength and have the same durability as an industrial or medical release liners making them the best choice for electronics application. Since the application of the electronics release liners can vary in temperature and moisture, the dependability is just as important in every configurations for electronics.
One of our electronics release liners is the PET Coated one or two sided release liner. A PET Film or biaxially oriented release liner is resistant to high temperatures and an extremely tough electronics release liner. The electronics release liners is a polyethylene terephthalate or “PET” base and is generally applied for high tensile strength, transparency, reflectivity, gas barriers, and electrical insulation.
The polypropylene based electronics release liners or PP release liners have a biaxial orientation like the PET liners. The PP electronics release liners come in different thicknesses and are available in standard or custom printing if requested. We do have extra long spools available for larger runs so the turn over time is shorter in some cases.
